I tried one last Fall and I thought it was terrible. Could've been sick, but it was enough for me not to look for anymore. I love Cohiba and maduros, so I will try more if they fell in my lap, but I won't go out of my way to find some.

i had a secretos from a feb 08 box on saturday... not bad but not great. the best part about them is still the box.

I too am surprised that the reviews are all over the map. Despite the hype, and the marca, I think these can be staples in a Habanos lovers humidor. When they are on they present with a dusty cocoa and expresso flavor. They can be sweet to the tongue, but are not cloying so. I recommend trying them and making a judgement. FWIW-The '08 boxes have been my recent favorites, but the late '09 Magicos have been smoking well ROTT.

I've only had one (Genios) and it was a very good smoke. From all of the mixed reviews, it sounds like consistency is the real problem here.

Smoked my first Genios in 2 years this past week. I did it blind and went on record to say that I thought it was Nicaraguan tobacco, specifically from Esteli. Oops...

Had almost the same thought, but it tasted milder than a nic. Thought it Honduran.
