I think they may be real. I don't know why the seals are missing. Ask him...

He says that he bought it at the factory in Havana (he was there, I know for sure), and that the stickers was put inside the box. Not sure if this can be true and/or explain why the 25 Siglo VI can be missing, if it is simply not due to the picture not showing.

Even the boxes you purchase in the official shops (at te factory or any other) needs to have the cuban seal on the box, not inside of it.

That said, I doubt he bought it at the factory...
The Cohiba factory is not open to just any person that wants to visit it.
Even the importeurs have difficulties to get a tour around that factory

I think You're making the right choice by letting this box pass you by.

That's all you need to know right there, definitely fake. And I'll go a step further and say that this person is lying to you if he bought them directly, or he didn't buy the cigars directly and was lied to if he truly believes these came from the factory like that.

And sure people can come out of the factory with some singles, usually unbanded, but no way a box especially with no serial codes/stamps etc.

Once again I am so impressed by all your help. I know he was on Cuba, thanks to Facebook, but the rest must be a lie.

Anyway, it was probably not the right choice of sticks for a learner, but they could have been aged. I'll make the sound choice of not buying these fakes, and instead find some good starters

Yep once you have all the info it's pretty clear. No real boxes get out of factories. They're are shipped in master cases to outside holding areas with tight security once they are a finished product.
