Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
Agreed....that's how I have done it thanks to Ron's advice and instruction.RonC said:yup, the Bovedas are the best method available for calibrating hygrometers.
This is absolutely true. I recently picked up a Western Caliber III, digital hygrometer. I wanted to try a salt test and see how accurate it was, even though the manufacturer says not to do so. My old analog model read a perfect 75%, but the digital fluctuated between 69% and 70%. I figured I had a bad unit, but thought I would try a Humidi-Pak calibration kit before judging the Western. Amazingly, both hygrometers read a perfect 75% with the kit. I had a couple of 69% Pak's sitting around and tried those as well. Same results - a perfect 69% on both hygrometers.RonC said:yup, the Bovedas are the best method available for calibrating hygrometers.
