Can anyone detail how these compare or not? As a beginner, I can't tell if I have Criollo or Corojo filler in a cigar. Can you? I mean, they both begin with 'C', so they cant be that different, right?? (Just kidding)

Thanks!

Buy some cheap Comachos. The criollo 5er. And a corojo 5er. Smoke one. Then the other till they are gone. In one day. You'll be out $20 for the sticks, you'll have knowledge, and you're tolerance will have elevated

It took me a lot of years of rolling with both to get a feeling for which of them works how and when, with what, and why, and I'm still working on it. But they taste pretty different, in sum. To start, C98 is sweeter, whereas C99 is earthier and sharper and sometimes more herbal.

Bunch a pair of rugged puros, one of each. They don't need to be big. They don't even need a wrapper. Just corojo bound in corojo and criollo bound in criollo. Smoke them both simultaneously. Hit the one, hit the other, hit the one again. What's the diff to you?

Sometimes, the simplest solutions are the best.
