I added onto my deck and then built a 12 x 28 pergola. Pergola is supported by five 8"x8" pressure wood treated posts. It's anchored to the concrete deck with anchors into the deck. I built a 18" box around the posts to cover the anchors with 2"x12" pressure treated wood.
Question. I am thinking about using that box as a form and filling with concrete and then possibly covering the concrete with stone. It'll look a lot better than the current wooden boxes. Do I need to treat the posts or cover with plastic before pouring the concrete?
