Well i have now posted the pics of me building my BBq pit. It took me about 100 hours, give or take. I think that it was worth the effort. Drank a lot of beer doing it. All the pics are in the Gallery. I have no idea of how to put a link from here to there in this post.

looks great, wish I had the talent to do so...how long will it hold temp for?
well i am still learning the pit, but it will hold temp for around an hour and a half. I made it out of a old air compressor tank, so the metal is a 1/4" rolled steel. It was way rusty inside when i cut the lid.

Some of you might wonder why there is a pic of a ruined bottle of black power. Well what i can say is this, always check what is around you in the work area. I sent sparks right into an open container(80%)full. made one hell of a lot of smoke and noise. the only thought was "well I have finally gone and set the house on fire!)

Yep...I was wondering how the gunpowder was connected in that pic album. Now I know.
