The answer to the question is: it depends on what the temp differential is going to be. If more than 10 degrees, go with a freezer. If not, a cooler will work great.

If it's going to be in your basement Id go with a cooler because I'm cheap and coolers are cheap. Or get a used wine cooler on Craigslist.
