Cruzado Elitas

Last night I enjoyed a Cruzado Elitas (6 x 44). It was recently shipped to me from NHC. It was a fantastic cigar! First off, the construction was perfect...well packed, great even draw, beautiful wrapper. The strength was medium-full and spicy...but it was rich, balanced, and completely inoffensive to the palate. The flavor, however, is what made this cigar a true winner. Unlike some cigars that are spicy but one-dimensional and bland, this gem was rich, complex, and flavorful with an almost chewy smoke that reminded me of chocolate, cinnamon, pepper, and coffee.

Has anyone else enjoyed the Cruzado Elitas? I am also curious to know how it might compare to the other vitolas in the Cruzado line.

Yes - The Cruzado are very good, you'll find that quite a few here are fans of Dion's stuff.

All of Dion's stuff is fantastic, but I think he out did himself with the Cruzado line. Every one of the vitolas is fantastic.

I had my first Cruzado today, the Elita. It was in a baggy in the back room of the B&M. It was a little dry, which I think caused it to be a little too peppery, but overall it was enjoyable. I'd really like to get my hands on one that's just a tad more moist. B&M won't get 'em though.:argh:

We carry all of the vitolas and I, as well as several other smokers whose opinions I totally respect, feel that the Elitas is the best. They are all good, but everything seems to come together perfectly in the Elitas. Here is a link to a review that Lorax429 did on these. Matt (Lorax) is a friend of mine and member here and I would put his opinion up against any.

I love these smokes. Everyone keeps calling these a med. But in my very limited experience they seemed pretty full bodied to me. I am hoping to grab a box of these with my after Christmas money. Any Idea how hard they will be to find.

Squid's humidor holds a dozen or so Cruzado's at present. Very nice cigar indeed.

It is hard to say for sure, but based on the way things look right now, I don't think these are going to be hard to find.
