  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I know I have soo much to learn still.... But would that difference be worth the investment?
Back when I didn't know better I walked into a B&M in Ann Arbor, Michigan with my cousin and decided to have a smoke. I shot straight for the Montecristos they had and picked one up thinking sweet they have Cubans.. my cousin quickly reminded me I was in the US and well "we don't have Cubans" as he put it needless to say I still wanted to give it a try thinking how far off could they be from the real thing? I was wrong oh so wrong never again will I wonder.

Very nice looking humi and stock. Now my question is and this may sound silly but is there that much of a difference between the Cuban brands made by general cigar and the real deal Cuban or is it just having something that is forbidden?
In a word, yes. . .

This. . .

Yes. While NC's have improved immensely recently, there is imo still no comparison to a CC. There are good and bad CC's, don't get me wrong. And there are still consistency problems with CC's, but they are still the pinnacle of the cigar industry.

I asked the same question recently and received some interesting responses. Check out this thread.
