  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

This cutter solves the problem for many smokers, of just how to perfectly cut your cigar. Especially for new smokers, it takes the guesswork out of what is really a critical step in the enjoyment of a good smoke. It allows for the perfect positioning of just about any cigar and effortless cuts. In this video we unbox it and run it through a couple different types of cigars to get a feel for how it operates. This is a real bargain for a great cutter with a lifetime guarantee at only a $15 price point.

The concept I agree is great but it just doesn't cut enough off for me if I'm smoking a torpedo or pyramid.

That's the first thing I said, and the Owner just called me and gave me a DUH moment - you simply cut it again! Works like a charm! I just updated the video with that little nugget of wisdom LOL!

Yes, I understand that but, I'm one of those "knuclehead" guys that only wants to cut a cigar once before I light it and smoke it!

Well to each their own...me personally, I don't think it makes any difference if you make multiple cuts, certainly not trimming down to get your torpedo opening right where you like it. I have certainly cut more than once to fix a poor cut on my part in the past :) The cigar sure doesn't know the difference ;)

And on the flip side, for those that LIKE torpedos with a smaller opening to take advantage of the funneling effect (I like them open wide) it's perfect the first time, giving a hole the size of a good punch.

I'm really unimpressed by mine. I use it quite a bit, and its not as smooth after some wear and tear. Its gotten me through some time but i'd spend the extra on something else.

honestly, just another cheap "made in China" cutter. 1 company buys a cutter for $2, sells it for $4. another company buys a cutter, hypes it right, and retails it for $15

Like Ron said, the concept has been around for a long time, I remember getting closed end cutters from numerous "Reps" during their visits/smokers.

I bought the cutter nearly 2 years ago after seeing it on the Cigar Aficianado website.

For a $15 cutter, it is really a nice clean cutter. Use it all the time especially at the golf course. I can understand for those torpedo guys who don't like to double cut their cigar, but for other types of cigars, it really works well.

After checking out your review I decided to buy one, what the hell...it's only 15 bucks.
Tonight I was checking out fireworks and it was so dark I could barely see my cigar; there was no way I could guillotine cut it without being able to see how deep the cap was inserted into the cutter.
Luckily, with this cutter I did not have to rely on eye balling the perfect distance...I just put the cigar in, cut it and it was perfect.
I'm sold on this cutter...thanks for the review!:applause:

Great review! I just take my Palio insert cap. Then place tip of my finger nail on cap. It acts as a end and makes every cut on a cigar perfect. I was shown this at the shop and everyone uses this tecnique because it works so well.
