  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

How are you supposed to smoke a culebra? One at a time, or all 3 at once? I was thinking about buying a few La Flor Dominicana Culebras to try. if smoking all 3, whats teh best way to cut it, and how would you keep it all together when smoking and it burns past the band that holds it together?

You smoke them one at a time. If you do try and smoke them all at once I ask that you please take some pictures to post. J/K. Do one at a time and you will be good.

It'd be best to share itwith two mates, but ye can always cut each alone, light them and smoke together. Once it burns past the band, just puff 3 times per minute (1 each). Be sure to post photos, though!!!

I just remember some site said you can do it all at once... I was just confused on how. Guess I'll do one at a time. These things look cool. Would look nice in my humidor.

Found this with me special Google powers:
While digging in the humi this evening looking for something to smoke while cutting the grass I found a box or few of these tucked away....

Thought to myself, "wonder if you can really smoke all three at the same time?"

Time to find out!

Now the hard part... cutting all the caps at once or one at a time. I cut each one individually. It was much easier this way.

Time to fire up the feet! This was kind of hard because once you got two lit the heat was so intense that it created quite a fire!

Man this thing was pulling some serious smoke!!!!!

The burn was not perfect but it tasted damn good! Time to remove the first piece of ribbon.

So far so good! By the way, it's pretty intense smoking them like this. I would call it "full throttle."

On and off I took puffs off each individual stick if they seemed like they were being neglected from the air gaps in between the heads. Hard to get a perfect draw but I was amazed at how easy it was to pull on them.

And off with the band!

It was getting to be a powerhouse at this point. WOW it's drawing way too much smoke... (if such a thing were possible) Reminds me of a claw or something weird in this picture.

Once the last ribbon came off it was much easier to smoke them individually.... maybe it's easier that way from the start as well.

It's true. It can be done. Recommend it? Not really. I would say that was one expensive cigar and experiment as well.
Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!

personally I would think you would looklike an ass trying cut and light all three cigars at once. IN MY HUMBLE opinion. take them apart and smoke them 1 by 1 or share them with friends.

kinda what I thought too. Then again, i didn't see one in person so I don't know how big they would be. I'm guessing its like 3 petite coronas wound together.

that kind of makes me want to try it. those lfd ones have 2 naturals and one maduro, so something tells me it would be complexity to the maximum... plus one upset stomach when I was done.

Eat beforehand and eat good, as well as have a constant supply of water and bread to cleanse the palate.
