  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Ok, I've been a novice Cigar smoke about 3 years. I've always been curious about Pipes and ready to check it out. I know Pipes vary in size and cost, just like Cigars. As a newbie who wants to check out the hobby, I want to find a Pipe that offers good quality and value, but at the same time, I won't feel like I wasted a lot of money if I feel like I'm not a Pipe smoker. Any thoughts and suggestions about what/where to look for and what Pipes/Websites I could look into would be greatly appreciated

Thanks!!

Yes and Grrrr is one of them....although he will pretend not to know. Yup cobs are great to start with and Dr. Grabow is a great starter for the briar.

4noggins.com
cigarsandpipes.com
cigar.com

those are some good places to look.

... and smoking pipes.com, cuppajoes, iwanreis, and many more.

but, yes, go get a cob! then try to get an english, a virginia or VaPer (virginia/ perique), and a burley (carter hall in the over the counter stuff). in my opinion, all the aros are all unique, yet all the same. starting with an understanding of what tobacco tastes like in a pipe will get you a lot farther in understanding if piping is for you than trying to try every "flavor". but cobs work, and well. as well as some high end briar. start small, pay attention, and ask questions.

or just make sure your addy is in your profile page. o)

Just helping some brothers out, I swear.

I found that ad in the Sunday paper, in last week's coupons of all things, didn't know if it was out nation wide or not.
