Current prices in Cuba - any link that works?

It seems that previous Cuban links are no longer functioning.
Anybody out there with recent info?

My daughter and her boyfriend are soon off to Varadero -
four boxes coming back!!! (so much to choose from...)

While I can extrapolate prices pretty well,
it would be usefull to have an up-to-date price list available.

sorry but right now there is no official price list in Cuba. It is basically whatever you are dumb enough to pay (or so it seams).

The site Ted mentioned (marty's) is as close as you will find. But here is where it gets confusing.Take that price and add 11% and then add another 3.5%. These are added on by the store and can vary.

This is all a result of pegging the Cuban dollar to the Euro instead of the US dollar. Its all very confusing in Cuba right now.

Best advice is tell them to be careful, pay by credit card (Canadian based), and never ever buy from anything other than a government store. Also, try dropping the name Placido.
