H. Upmann

Pre-revolution, global marca that rose in 1844. Light tomedium strenght using tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region. It's name comes from 2 brothers who founded the brand; yet it remains unknown which version of them all. August and Herman, either Upmann or Hupmann (the "H" could also be as well for hermanos or "brothers") were German textile manufacturers who moved their family-owned operation to Havana. They were avid cigar smokers and eventually used cigars to gift to customers (it is said they were the first to box in cedar). It is said this was J. F. Kennedy's favorite brand and the night before the embargo was signed, he asked Pierre Salinger to buy him a total of 1,200 H. Upmann Petit Upmann.
