Wrapper: Connecticut Shade
Binder: Dominican republic
Filler: San Vicente, Dominican republic
Strength: Mild
Size: 5×50
The Cuvée Blanc is a new cigar from Dominican Republic manufactured by DomRey Cigar Limited. Their other more popular line is Cusano.
I picked up a three pack of different Cuvée blends when I was back in NH (popular in that region) and tonight I had the Blanc in Robusto size.
I never had good experience with Cusano but with optimism opted for this new line anyways after the B&M described them as limited in who carries them and that they are popular in Europe.
Appearance was very nice and well constructed.
The burn and draw was perfect.
No tunneling.
A creamy scented mild smoke with flavored hints of grass, weak tea and a light mustiness sort of resembling the last Zino I smoked and still remember from @ 1year ago. :hanghead:
The bottom half to third still remained mellow with no changes in complexity or taste through out the smoke. The cigar lasted through the half time and second half of the Titans game. Did not nub it and just put it down. Actually dropped it in the empty Miller High Life Bottle.
For a mild cigar I will likely pass on this blend in the future. On a Richter scale of 1 to 10 I will give it a generous 6.5
I hope the other two from the Cuvée sampler, Rogue and the N0. 151 are better blends and more to my liking.
