  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

We all knew it was gonna happen....didn't matter HOW MUCH we fight 'cause our crooked-assed ultra-powerful city council had an agenda...and there was no way they were going to be stopped.

Maybe in other cities, fighting this type of ban would work...but not here in the "City Council" city of Dallas.

Personally, this sucks because I won't be able to smoke/eat/drink at the Cock&Bull anymore. :(

Yeah I testified before the council about the cost... Enforcement will be an extra 271-k and then there is the loss of gross revenues which I figured to be around 80 million in lost drink sales (assuming Plano's 16% drop)...they didn't care or even pay attention. At least we have til April 10th to enjoy.

At least we can still go to surrounding cities, for now. However this is sad for those who will lose their jobs/businesses as a result of loss of revenue.

I wrote a lengthy email a few days ago. Wouldn't be surprised if it was simply deleted.

I'm glad I will be out of Dallas county well before April. Until then, I will smoke like a @!#ing chimney everywhere I can manage to go. Otherwise, I'm holding to my promise in the email and going to bigger and better places to spend my money (Arlington Highlands, for instance).

Prohibition at its best.

Maybe we can get you guys out to Grapevine once in a while now and I can get to bed at a decent hour. :smokingco

Duane, what's that mexican restaurant called? we'll be back in April!!
That wasn't Dallas....that was someplace in Euless, one of the Mid Cities.

I don't remember the name, and I'm *positive* you don't. Hell, I'm surprised you even remember it was a Mexican joint. :bottle:

LOL!

But hey, when you come this way in April, give me a heads up--we'll totally hook up and go herfin!

Just curious - where in Grapevine do you smoke cigars at? A few of us are usually on the patio of Flip's on Tuesday nights ($2 pints) but we've migrated to Town & Country Cigars (INSIDE smoking).

Maybe we can get you guys out to Grapevine once in a while now and I can get to bed at a decent hour. :smokingco

Name right, weather right, definitely a few tequila shots, game right, ashes in the quesadillas, not a "chick", you had your drunk goggles on, you almost passed out outside your hotel room. I'll try to make it out for a little bit.
