  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Wouldn't you like to know?
It sucks but you accept it. Tobacco taxes are one of them main things that fund our universal healthcare. Canada has very strict tobacco legislation and I swear the only reason it is still legal at all it that we can't afford to go without the taxes. That said I had 2 amazing smokes today that I never would have been able to try if it wasn't for the generosity and assistance of the great brothers here. I have heard alot here about weather Opus are worth it. Without a doubt they are worth every penny and more. Are they the best cigar ever made I don't know but it depends what day you ask. After smoking tonight I almost would have paid the taxes for them. That said the Noella reserva was equally as good just didn't last as long.

Thank you to all the brothers who have helped me get ahold of all these great cigars and Casey for helping with these specific ones.

Hey Aaron, sorry to hear of the woes man. I still remember a story on the news from a year or two ago about a guy whose brother sent him a $50 box, and the taxes were well over $500 on it. Crazy stuff.

That sucks! I work in Allen Park in Michigan...if you are close to the bridge...I would be more than happy to meet up with you with your sticks if you continue to have issues! Nick
Can you drive em over, then mail em?
I was thinkinh the same thing. If it's that close, just get several of his packages sent to you, then rebox em and drive em accross. Once in Canada, the Mail can take care of the other 1500 miles. Problem solved...Good work Jay

Can you get a PO box close to the border, in the states and take a trip to it periodically.
this would be a good thing.

Gibbleguts and I are about a 7-8 hour drive from the closest border crossing. You know where Great Falls Montana is? We're about an 8.5 hour drive north of there. :) Good thought though.
