Can anyone ID this moth? He sorta hung out at my buddies house for a couple days........

Imperial Moth maybe?

Dryocampa rubicunda. Rosy Maple Moth. As the name suggests they feed on Maple trees as caterpillars...sometimes to the point of becoming pests. Definitely beautiful moths.

Close, they're in the same family...Saturniidae.

After looking up Saturnidae, I found this.



It was an odd find for us, in person you'd swear it glowed in the dark. lol
