  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Dark Fired Tobacco:

Farmers in western Kentucky's black patch region produce fired cured dark tobacco.
Heat from burning hardwood slabs and sawdust inside tight metal barns creates finished products used in snuff and chewing tobacco.

Very interesting. So would latakia follow the same process but use a different type of leaf being from a different region? Or is there something in the process that is drastically different between dark fired tobacco and latakia? My understanding is dark fired is less smokey than latakia but I'm not sure if that's process or genetically derived.
