Date on box?

I know that some do and some don't include the date on the box. Could anyone explain this sticker.
I just bought a box of Black Pearl and the date was 10/5/16
Not sure what to make of this box of Montecristo. This can't be the date

Although i have never heard of it. May be a qa sticker cause like you said the numbers just dont make sense
