I’ve recently been acquiring some of the more “high end” smokes and have yet to try anything from davidoff. Interested in the yamasa Nicaragua and escurio... are they worth it or are there better options out there for the money?

BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
Davidoff which blends are worth the $$$

First off, everyone has their own opinion and tastes. For many, anything over $10/stick starts encroaching the high end.
As far as Davidoff goes, I do like the Yamasa and Nicaraguan lines but rarely buy them as I feel that there are so many other better smokes at or below their price points. I didn't have much of an opinion on the Escurio and honestly don't even remember how it smoked or tasted. 11 times out of 12 I would buy a Padron, or even a My Father blend, over a Yamasa. The Griffins Special Edition 2013's were really nice smokes and made by Davidoff. I haven't seen them in a couple of years though.
I honestly don't care what a cigar costs as that doesn't impress me. Pretty much anything for that matter. What impresses me is the flavor, the journey of multiple profiles and how it burns. As long as I enjoyed it, it was probably worth it. Especially if it was in the company of good friends.

I do think you need to have smoked for a while to appreciate the "higher end" cigars. That being said, I'm not a fan of Davidoff cigars that have that strong earthy, mushroomy flavor almost like the smell of manure...some people call it "barnyard".
I do like Yamasa, Chef's Ediiton, Nicaraguan, and the soon to be re-released Year of the Snake. Enjoy.

They can be an acquired taste. I don't always want that sour twang it leaves on my tongue but when I do, I enjoy a Davidoff. If you prefer things a bit fuller try the Yamasa, Nicaragua, or The WC Late Hour. Or you could hit up Small Batch and do their Surprise Davidoff Sampler and try that out.
In terms of worth the money, that's up to you to determine if it's worth it to you. There's always going to a better bang for your buck cigar elsewhere but if you can swing one every once in a while, go for it.

One of the larger Davadoff selles in the USA is in PHX AZ, apprently they were the Dealer of the Year. Got a Trophy for their sales. This shop is like going to a high end Roll Royce Dealer. The place is make me pinch myself, and ask "am I still in AZ?" They even have a Members only Davidoff Lounge. Membership is like $3,000.00 a year, very very upscale.
I honestly have had two Davidoff's that I bought & smoked were in the $20.00 range retail, nither one did I bother to write down the names of because nither one impress me to the point of wanting to buy again.
Honestly Cigars are like Wine to me, the price is not going to make me buy it again. It is how I personally like a stick that make me saw I want more of those even if they are Sub $5.00/stick.

Not a fan of the newer models. The millenniums were pretty good back in the day and I really love some of the special releases. There was one called Puro Belicoso about 10 years ago that had to be one of the best cigars I've had. Currently the only ones I like that I might actually buy are the Colorado Claro. That said, all of their cigars are very high quality.
