BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

While many of these guys are single with few expenses (mostly beer and women), some are married with kids, mortages, car payments, etc. Most of these guys have literally grown up on the water and do this year-round. They go from one type of fishing to the next ... crab, lobster, abalone, tuna, salmon, etc. I enjoy occasional fishing but I know I could not handle the extreme environment these guys face every year.
I wonder what their life insurance premiums are like.
That's their haul and money for that 1 crab season. They catch different types next.

Alot of money, but what a dangerous occupation.
And, just the same for the camera people. You know that's not what they were thinking of filming when they were in college. I think I'd find a way off that job lol. They gotta get some kinda bonus though or something.

Yes, that was last season during opilio crab season. The ship was called Big Valley and 5 of her crew died. One person was recovered in a liferaft. He didn't know what happened other than the ship capsized and quickly sunk in rough seas.Prometheus said:
