Thank You for the four elements that come together. Earth, Water, and Air combine. The seeds sprout and grow. Air continues its work. Time goes by. Finally we add Fire to this one simple ingredient to create a profound and memorable experience.

Thank You for the dark maduro wrapper that reminds us that greatness cannot be rushed.

Thank You for our senses that enable us to taste and smell. The flavors? Cola, caramel, sweet tea, nutmeg… ah, forget it. It tastes like a Padron Family Reserve. Maybe it’s like umami – “Scientists discover sixth flavor – Padron Family Reserve.”

Thank You for Jose Orlando and Jorge – long live the Kings!

Thank You for an experience that causes me say, to paraphrase Evelyn Waugh (You rest his soul), “The most futile and disastrous day seems well spent when viewed through the blue, fragrant smoke of a Nicaraguan puro.”

Thank You that I live in a country where a typical hour’s work enables me to spend two hours reflecting on the Grace that gave us tobacco to cheer our souls.
