I'm going to be steadfast! I got a Savinelli as a gift several years ago and enjoyed smoking it for a while, but haven't busted it out for years.

So what you're saying is, you have a nice pipe, you just haven't smoked it in a while...

Seems like a nice pipe to me. Only ever smoked the tobacco it came with.

So, this guy has a Savinelli pipe, but hasn't smoked in years, and has only ever tried one blend of tobacco in it.

If you replace the pipe with a thirty dollar one that sucks then that's the same for my friend. I've been considering spending a couple hundred to get him stuff for his bday but he seems to like cigars too and I'm not fluent.

I've never had any pipe stuff myself, so I wouldn't be the best judge.
