Here is my compromise between the trash and science. My original humidor, a small 50 count, has been out of service for almost a year. I will be needing it upon my return from Cigarfest so it needs to be reseasoned. I'll start the process with these two packs.
Small change to the experiment. I reorganized my tins and found that the vacuum seal on a tin of Dunhill Aperitif had popped and the tobacco dried out. I jarred it and put the small 69 Boveda with the jar. The 65 will stay with the Humidor. The analogue hygrometer was reading 69 when I pulled the small Boveda.
I know a few folks who had them leak. Bovedas shouldn't be abused if at all possible. Remember, these are holding water inside them and are resting against your sticks... don't take unnecessary chances!
