I got to play with this Chiappa 60 DS White Rhino at the range last night and had a blast with it. Takes a lot of getting used to with the 6:00 firing position and the handle angle, but a lot of fun running 357 rounds through it. The owner of the range said it was a pretty polarizing gun and that people either loved it or hated it. What do you think gun nuts?

Really neat idea. I like the concept A LOT.

But, the execution is horribly lacking. So... not a fan at all right now. If a company could make it in a higher quality build, I think I would fall in the "love it" camp.

Spring strong sweet tall green grass grow...
The Chiappa Rhino.
I was teetering on buying one a while back, but really wanted to shoot one first.
It may still happen one day!
The lower barrel position is supposed to make a huge difference in felt recoil and muzzle flip. Do you have prior experience w/ 357? If so, was it noticeable to you?

Looks wise, I love it. I was gravitating more to the all black, possibly the snubby, but maybe up to around 4" bbl.

(5" & 6" also avail)

Quick hijack: Clint, there's a USPSA match on the 9th at Pine Island if you're interested. I'll be there.

We have a standard 357 with a 4" barrel, so I can't make an apples to apples to the 6" barrel, which should have less recoil anyway. However, with the 4" the muzzle flip is up and with the Chiappa it moves backward instead of up.
