Does anyone make jerky

wow looks good, I have never tried the ove dry method. how long did you dry it and how thin was it once cured? It looks a little thicker pre cure than I usually do.

Some pieces were done at about 4-4.5hrs, the rest of them were done right at 6hrs. You're right about the pieces being a little thick. I tried to stick to roughly 1/8'' cuts, but even that was a little on the larger side. Next time I'll slice a tad thinner and also tenderize a lot more. This time I did some pieces a lot and others barely at all. Those that I beat the crap out of were super tender and easy to chew.

The wife just got me MTN 10 tray dehydrator for my bday. Ill be making some jerky this week!!! I cant wait.

I just came across this thread, its kinda funny my roommates friend got 2 dear and a moose and is going to make us some jerky.

Cant wait.
