  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

This stick has been sitting in my lonely humidor since dec. I wanted to save it for a rainy day and today was that day.

For the most part, this stick I can actually use "creamy". Smooth sweetness, mid part; a roar of cinnamon along with a nice punch to the end.

Well balanced amongst allot of cigars I have ventured off to try; this is a truly a peaceful and pleasant piece of smoke.

Now that's MUCH better, I have to say. Plus, if the creaminess is anything like in La Riqueza, I need to try this one.

are riquezas creamy? i never got that. they are good though.
After the inicial spice blow it gives (which lasts few puffs), it goes to a smooth, creamy smoke with cocoa and caramel that makes it me favorite Pete Johnson's (then again, that's me palate; everyone gets something different).

If I may point out to all parties that have posted here; this thread was posted in the Cigars section which is general cigar discussions on domestic cigars. We have a cigar review section. This is not posted there. Remember we are here to have fun and talk about cigars.

would i read a whole review? probably not. they just frustrate me cuz i never taste any of that other stuff. i skip to the bottom to see if it was good or not. base on his review am i more likely to buy one if i ever see it? probably.
See, for me, I read the whole review as once I do, I honestly get a better feel of what I should be looking for in a specific cigar. Not always do I taste the same things as the reviewer did, but more often than not. If a review just said good/bad, one star or five, now way I'd consider that opinion of any value as good to me may suck to you, Coke/Pepsi, Beef/Pork. All our tastes are different, so to say I'd buy a stick because anybody said it was good, no chance. Now if one of my friends who knew what I liked said "Wade, I've had this stick and think you'd really like it.", then yeah, I'd try it as he knows my tastes and the recommendation was based on that. However when I work at the lounge there's no way in hell I'd recommend a cigar to someone because I like it without asking a few questions to see what THEY like first.

Sorry Chuck, just had to give my .02!
