Not sure how I feel about the new bands all over...

Was talking to the My Father rep last night and he was saying the discontinuation of the JJ Maduro was due to cannibalization from the Jaime Garcia Reserva line.

Why would DPG change anything at all? It's not like he needs to fancy it up to sell cigars. It's kinda like putting sheepskin seat covers in a Rolls Royce, imo.

Does foot bands provide any kind of protection? And not the unwanted cigar pregnancy kind of protection either, but actually prevent damage.
yup, they can prevent cracks in the wrapper from over-handling. so can cello, so IDK why they thought this was a winner. old la gloria serie R, big seal clubbing sticks: THOSE needed the foot band, and was glad when they got one. these don't need, and are not flattered by, the foot band.
