Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
Per the Hammacher ad:That would be the simple way of putting it. I don't think ice can chill a bottle of beer that fast though....
Worth the 90 bucks is the question.
I guess if you have money to blow.....
Per the Hammacher ad:
"The process begins when you add ice and water to the unit and turn it on."
I don't see any other forces at work here. I'd be interested to see a real life test. Take a non-chilled six pack ... open one up and measure the temp. Then put another in this device for 60 seconds ... open it and measure the temp. I'd bet that the contents of the cooled can was not close to 38 F.
Pretty neat if you have money to burn or are the kind of person that can't plan ahead and chill the stuff before hand. :rofl:This is pretty bad ass

The One-Minute Drink Chiller at Hammacher Schlemmer
Just as a side not. My liquor store has a wine/bottle chiller in the store that chills stuff ultra quick. No spinning just a tank of water that is chilled really cold. Convient for the many beers they sell warm or white wines.Pretty neat if you have money to burn or are the kind of person that can't plan ahead and chill the stuff before hand.
