East TN HERF

When: 20 April 2013. Time TBD.
Where: mdwest house.. then possibly proceed to smokeys, silo, baker peters, or some other cigar friendly location
Why: Rupe is coming to town... nuff said...

Basic plan: Im going to fire the smoker up early in the morning and get lots of red meat cooked... will probably do a kobe/wagu brisket.. some baby back ribs.. and maybe some venison... assuming the weather is good, we'll hang out on the back patio, eat until it hurts, and smoke until our eyes cross..

If the weather sucks.. we eat indoors.. and use the front porch (covered) as a smoke haven (plenty of seating and space out there too)..

HERF Rules: There is only one... attendees are not allowed to bring anything other than themselves to the HERF.. youre stuck drinking my booze, smoking from my stash, and eating my grub... (as long as you like single malt, rum, or beer.. meat... and arent too picky on smokes... you'll be fine.. )... you can bomb each other.. but it is impolite to bomb the host... so bring nothing inside with you when you arrive

Got a good chuckle on the 4:20 reference too. It reminded me of a special blend that I used to smoke back in my college days. It was a mean combination of pipe tobacco and "medicinal herbs" that was well known at the time as "Borkum Rupe"

150 miles between us.. and only 20 miles of it is not 4 lane interstate... thats what? 2 1/2 hours on the bike? 2 hours in the car?
