I'm mostly bidding on it because of my profession. It's appears to maybe be a 105mm casing, but it could also be from a 155mm. From the dimensions though I think it's 105.

If you think those ashtrays are unexciting I would advise you to not waste your time looking at others. These seemed to be the only ones suited for cigars that were worth a damn.

I like the ones made out of shells. BTW, there are a number of them up for auction right now in case you didn't notice them all. Different variations.

I don't even own a proper cigar ashtray, I have been using some dish from a camping set you are supposed to eat out of. Maybe I'll browse some around ebay again when I get to work.

I sent emails to a handful of companies asking for an ashtray. Altadis sent me about 7 or 8 cigars and thanked me for my interest, and Ashton sent me the monster 4 finger dog bowl Ashton ashtray, the same one in many cigar shops.
