Through a mutual friend, my wife and I met Nino and company at the El Laguito cigar factory in Havana earlier this month. It was a nice group of people and a fantastic experience to see this factory. Thanks again Nino for showing us around. Below are some photos and a video from our tour of the factory.

Nino and friends are welcomed to the factory

The main factory building - we'll get there later

Rear of the main building

Inside the sorting area, a female worker sorts tobacco and prepares the leaves for humidification

Heading into the blending room

Piles of tobacco

From left to right: binder, medio tiempo, ligero, seco, volado. According to Berta Corzo, our tour guide, this is enough leaf to produce 65 Behike cigars.

Into the rolling room

Those look like Siglo II's to me

Send those to my house, please

Yum!

Yes please!

A treat to see these photos! As others have said, thank you for taking the time to post and remembering the camera!

I hope to one day experience that. Thanks for sharing.

On a side note... I love in your video, the first girl has pictures of her family on the board of her work station, and mingled in is a picture of Fidel.

I have pictures of my family on my desk at work, I just cant see a picture of Stephan Harper mixed into that. lol.

Thanks everyone. I'm glad you enjoyed the photos.

...did Nino say anything new about MRNs new book?
I didn't ask Nino about the new MRN book. From what I gather, those who know anything about the 2nd edition aren't willing to spill the beans.
