Hello, my name is Phil. I'm a fairly recent cigar addict. The first step is admitting it.

I hail from Fort Wayne Indiana. I work as a union electrician. My past times are watching movies, video games, raising my daughter and playing paintball. Which brings me to how I heard about this board. Found it through pbnation.com and mcarterbrown.com.

I had my first cigar roughly 10 years ago to celebrate the birth of a friends baby. Up until recently that was pretty much the only time I smoked, births, weddings, etc.. About 3 months ago I'm not sure why but I became enthralled to this hobby and have been going crazy since.

Within the last month I've upgraded my beginner desktop humidor to a wine cooler that I've converted. My stick collections is ~150. Far cry from some of the hordes I've seen while prowling this site but a decent start.

I have been trying to smoke as many different varieties as I can. As with everyone, I have my favorites so far. Pretty much anything by Fuente is a go. I've had and loved 858's, short stories, btl, woa, along with God of Fire, Anejo, and Opus X. Which go figure that I'd love those last 3. I've really enjoyed LFD Air Benders, Diesel Unholy Cocktails, 5 Vegas Cask Strength, CAO Mx2. Lately I've discovered Pepin made cigars and have gotten into a groove with those. Ranging from Tat Havanna VI, San Cristobal, 5 Vegas Miami, and ranging to the My Father Le Bijou 1922. I just this last weekend had my first Liga Privada #9 and must admit that I may be looking into purchasing a box of them very soon.

Ok, so those were what I've tried and liked/loved. I'm prolly going to get boo'ed for this but here goes.... I've not had anything from Oliva or Padron I like... Yeah, I know. Everyone LOVES Padron. Sorry, not me. I've given them quite the effort to love though.

I'm always up for suggestions on smokes to try, so please offer up ideas, comments, concerns, and/or smoke signals.

Mkay, so this intro seems to have gotten away from me... So in closing, just saying Hey! If you're ever in the Northern Indiana area PM me and I may be able to meet up with you.

Just kidding, great intro. But have you tried the Oliva V or say a Padron 1964 maduro? pick the size you like best and try them. Those 2 are awesome cigars. If you don't like em, no worries, there are lots of other smokes out there for you.

Hey Phil and :welcome: Great intro, you've definitely come to the right place.

I like all the ones you mentioned above that you enjoy. I also enjoy Oliva and Padron, but hey, to each their own. Smoke what ya like and like what ya smoke!

Anyway, Welcome, glad to have ya here.

Hendy and bdc30 - I have full intentions of trying to make it up for that. Kinda depends on whether I have to work or not.

dpricenator - Yeah, I've tried all those. I give any cigar a fair shake before I give up on them. By that I mean, I like to smoke at least 3-5 of them. I've had several of all the Serie and just am not a fan. I've also had the same amount of Padron's x000's, the 64 and 45 and, again, just didn't jive with em. I'm all for keeping at the Padron's. =D
