Epernay hunt...

New Cigar from Dion Giolito, maker of Illusione & Cruzado.

The limited release ECCJ is a corona gorda with only a few hundred boxes left: first at NHC, but now apparently available a few other places as well...

Dion has apparently decided that this blend is worthy of producing more in a new expanded line called Epernay.

The word is that there is currently a limited availability of coronas (5-3/4 x 40) in cabs of 50?
The (full?) line will be released at the 2009 trade show.

Any clarity or additonial info is welcome (this is hearsay)...

Oh, and I'd love to try some!!! Can't wait!

I also heard something, but wanted to wait for it to be surer. When I asked Dion about it, he told me to wait and I'd see. So even if the specs are not precise, something's coming out.

THere is a shipment of the Epernay's on its way to our shop, I am not sure what size/sizes we will get but I will let you know how they smoke!

Just saw this thread... I still have a couple fivers up for grabs. Petite Lancero's... This cigar has quickly moved to the top of my fav. smokes list... twenty you haven't smoke any yet? Fire one up and give the BOTL a review!

I've heard this same news...and the full line sounds cool! I wonder how different the other vitolas of the "eccj" will be...of course, I've never even had an eccj, lol. I still think this is cool, though

I have yet to have an ECCJ as well, but a buddy smoked one last night and when I asked him to compare he said the ECCJ was more one dimensional than the Epernay. I reviewed the stick (with my limited review knowledge) on the C&R forum at Cigarbid...

I only heard about these today, but I assume that these are not made by Pepin as none of Dion's sticks are. (But wouldn't that be cool!)

I tried the Le Ferme and I really didn't dig the larger rg... it kinda lacked the flavor intensity that I got from the smaller rg... the box I bought was the L'Elegance. I was up there yesterday, but I didn't buy any... I was too focused on his last box of Tat WC...

They don't ship... I live about 40 minutes away so I had to go in to buy them. When I bought my box I was told they only had a few left in the warehouse. I still have a couple fivers or one tener that I can part with. PM me if interested...
