  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I keep seeing people talk about Penzance & Stonehaven, but they're always in limited supply and/or sell as fast as they're stocked.
Any other Esoterica blends you would recommend as a "must try," or are those two the only standouts?
(I don't have a preferred profile yet, just attempting to try as much as possible to learn and be able to differentiate the tobacco types/curing processes)

The Penzance and Stonehaven are definitely my favorite. It's a crap shoot though because pipes are just like cigars and everyone enjoys different things. I wouldn't worry about finding some. You will run into some eventually. Until then there is hundreds of other fantastic tobaccos to be smoked.

Margate is a another good one from Esoterica. Can be HTF though too. Pembroke is Margate with a cognac topping as well. Both very good blends. Also, a local shop here in my hometown of Columbus has a couple "house blends" that are made by JF Germain & Sons (maker of Esoterica) that I personally think are fabulous. Exotique is one of my favorite pipe tobacco blends on the market. Period. Their 25th Anniversary Blend is great as well. Give them a try, I doubt you'll be disappointed.

I came across some old Margate probably 2008 or 2009 at a dump of a B&M today. Give me a shouty if you wanty.

Not to post hijack, but was Pembroke discontinued? I don't see it in stock anywhere, and there is very little information about it other than what I saw on tobaccoreviews.
