Estate Pipes and Metal Condenser- Completely Useless?

Folks,
Another question here.
I've purchased a few estate pipes that have the metal condensers in them. I haven't found them to be of much use in preventing gurgle or fluid from getting into my mouth (I'm still a newb at learning how to "sip"), but I do find them a royal PITA to clean since I have to disassemble them in order to run a pipe cleaner through for basic cleaning.

I'm thinking about removing these altogether and was wondering if this is what most people do?

neither of my pipes have those so I don't know. I got the gurgle and wet lips to stop by running a pipecleaner through the pipe while the bowl is burning. you just need to do it a few time during a bowl and you're good. of course you'll need to figure out you pipecleaner issure first.

Get rid of them.....They were a gimmic to sell pipes. The do not do anything but get clogged and make it difficult to clean the pipe. You can then use a pipe cleaner to get rid of the "gurgle".
