Estate pipes

Somebody is selling estate pipes and he sent me this picture. Do you think it's worthwhile to drive 2 hours to see what is about? Do you see something interesting? He said its a collection of 41 pipes and 5 pipe racks.

+1 if that framed knitted artwork is for sale I'd grab that.

If you are keen to refurb it's probably worth a look, looks like some old briar in there.

Also the leather pipe roll looks pretty unique too.

Just keep in mind: 4 hours of time and gas invested means you're less likely to be able to negotiate a good deal.

"Sunk costs" play an important role in human decision making and the ability to walk away from a bad deal.

If it were me I would want to hear some brand names off the pipes and would do a bit of negotiating over the phone before making the hike. There are some gems to be had out there but there are many more duds.
