European Cigar-Cult Journal tastes-tests Regionales!

The Journal did an enormous favor for all fans of Habanos by arranging a tasting of almost all of the Edicion Regionales which have been released to date! They tested 13 of the 17 different Regionales planned for 2008 (down from 31 originally announced), with only the two shapes announced for Lebanon (which disappeared in the mail!) and two so-far unproduced shapes (one for Adriatic and one for Italy) missing. The cigars and the tasting results:

> Asia-Pacific region: Bolivar Short Bolivar (4 1/2 inches by 52 ring): 4 1/2 stars.

> Asia-Pacific region: Por Larranaga Belicosos Extra (5 1/2 x 52 torpedo): 2 1/2 stars.

> Caribbean region: Juan Lopez Petit Piramdes (5 x 50 torpedo): 4 1/2 stars.

> China: Bolivar Armonia (7 1/4 x 57 salomon): 5 stars.

> France: Bolivar Petit Libertador (4 x 50): 4 1/2 stars.

> France: Ramon Allones Especial (5 1/2 x 52 torpedo): 3 stars.

> Great Britain: La Gloria Cubana Gloriosos (6 1/8 x 50): 3 1/2 stars.

> Great Britain: Punch Serie d’Oro No. 1 (6 1/8 x 52 torpedo): 5 stars.

> Italy: El Rey del Mundo Especiales (5 1/2 x 52 torpedo): 3 1/2 stars.

> Portugal: Vegas Robaina Petit Robusto (4 x 50): 4 stars.

> Spain: Ramon Allones Grandes (7 x 49): 4 stars.

> Switzerland: Bolivar Legendarios (6 1/8 x 50): 3 1/2 stars.

> Switzerland: Juan Lopez Maximo (6 1/8 x 48): 4 stars.
