Hello BOTL and SOTL!

*Looks around at the website* Man, it sure does feel good to be back on here.

My name is Aaron, and I became a member back in 2009?... Here's a couple of posts that will re-introduce me, and my story:

"A Young New Guy" (My BOTL newbie intro)
http://www.botl.org/community/forums/showthread.php?t=32375

"My Hiatus: A story of coming out to family"

Long story short, I stopped smoking cigars about two years ago (~April 2010) at the request of my parents who don't support my smoking and compromised to consider it if I stop smoking at least until the age of 21. Until then, I've only had one cigar (~August 2010) in the past two years - it was an occasion that merited an exception and my parents know about it.

But now, my 21st birthday is coming on June 2nd this year, and I'm extremely excited. I have planned to be in Vegas on my birthday, and I simply can't wait... especially to smoke my first cigar with the satifaction that I waited this long.

I'm thinking of purchasing cigars here in Sacramento before heading there... perhaps a Casa Fuente trip would be good for me too. Oh yeah! And I can't wait to experimenting pairing cigars and alcohol! My first ever cigar was a Davidoff Millenium Series 1000 Pantela, and I'm thinking it would be great as my first when I come back to smoking cigars.

Since then, I've grown a sincere love for coffee, so I think I'll go fancy myself in the coffee forum area here until I can technically be able to post in the cigar areas.

Perhaps this post is technically pointless, but I just can't wait to reunite to cigars again!

Hoping you all a holy Easter,
Aaron

Welcome back. I've taken the last week off from smoking and while it was easy - I really didn't feel like smoking - I can barely imagine what two years must feel like.

haha sounds like ya got a hell of a plan. If your looking for some good starter whisky(ey) choices id recommend knob creek 9 year small batch for bourbon, red breast 12 for a really nice Irish, or glenmorangie for a nice easy drinking scotch. You'll have a blast in Vegas to. That city is like no other.

First let me say I admire the respect you showed your parents. I think that is rare in this day (jeeze I'm old)

Second, welcome back brother!

Thanks for the recommendations! I can't wait to try them all.... I really have no idea of what alcohol drinks are as to the type of tastes they bring to the palate. That Glenmorangie sounds real good as nice and easy drinking scotch. Thanks again!

Thank you all for your responses!

I always loved how welcoming and kind all of the brothers and sisters are here. Hoping to share reviews and thoughts and all that good stuff with you all soon. Less than two months to that blissful reunion!

WB and Happy B -day early. Went to Casa Fuente a year or two ago. It was nice but very overpriced. Then again, it was in a Casino. The diplays of boxes of Opus had me drooling....biggest display and variety I've ever seen!
