Exporting Tobacco

Does Cuba export just the tobacco...as in not in the form of a cigar?

It seems like I've read somewhere that years back they stopped exporting any tobacco that wasn't in a cigar. But there are Cuban pipe tobacco's.

I know they used to export to the Canary Islands and some Dutch mfgs, but that could have ended.

it is extremely difficult to get good leaf off the island. now, peso tobacco...that's a different story.

Those folks MUST be kidding with those prices. Maybe I'm just missing something and these are the best tasting cigars around, but considering normal cuban prices these are steep as hell.

The site is canadian, perhaps thats canadian dollars? Their money always makes things sound expensive (plus the tobacco taxes)
