  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

With a little cigar glue , a very, very fine mist of distilled water to wet crumbly or cracked wrapper, a couple q-tips to apply water or spread glue with more precision than a finger, and some patience you would be amazed at how well you can repair a messed up cigar. I have done this to countless cigars at the shop as customers have seen me do this and now bring me their casualties for repair. You can make almost anything "smokeable" it just may not be pretty. Once you get it fixed up you will also want to let it sit for a bit to recover from the surgery.

Some things to avoid:
Don't use too much water on the wrapper, you want just enough to reduce brittle spots

If a piece of wrapper won't stay glued down, don't keep adding extra glue, sometimes you need to take some small scissors (fingernail clipper type), cut that piece of wrapper where it wont stay and then reapply it as a separate piece.

I have found that attempting to fix part of a cigar and then come back later and fix the rest doesn't work. All the handling of the repaired part will usually come undone this way.

This is just the method I use, some others may have better suggestions than this, but, as I said, I have had very good luck with this. If you like, I would be happy to try and fix your cigars for you. Feel free to PM with any questions.

Sorry for the tragedy.

So I had to take a state test today for work and wanted to grab a few SW Maddies for a couple guys at the lounge to try. Well knowing how state test go I wanted to make sure I had ample time to get there. Ran down grabbed the 5ct caddy and went to the Vino to get the few I needed. Shit the box was second from bottom. Took all the full 3er baggies out i had sanwiched in "holes" (or so I thought) grabbed the sw's and went to put the box back in. I lifted the others up to slide the Tat box back in (If I dont do it this way it takes another 10 mins to figure out how I had it stacked). And thats when it happened. Why the F wont this box go in. Pulled it back out and relized I had left a 3 er baggie from Mitch of the 1930s'40s clear Havanas in there and they looked wrecked! Mother F@%*!&. I screamed thank god no 1 was home. Not only a 3er but the 1 cigar I got only 1 of that Mitch told me was the best he has had of any of the aged Clears. Why do I get punished for being such a good BOTL? I don't understand it. Oh well it is what it is. Ill still smoke em somehow but I was planning on gifting a few to you guys as stated a couple days ago in PIFs.
I'll get some more out to you, no sweat bro, was gonna hook you up for being so generous with what you've been giving away.
