Fat Cigar Fad

what is with the fat cigar fad. what are evryones opinions on larger ring cigars 52+. I personally enjoy smaller ring gauges. corona, lonsdale, smaller perfectos. let me know what you think. if you like larger rings or if you wish manufacturers would stick with traditional sizes.

I tipically do not like bigger ring gage cigars. I think you lose a lot of flavor when the RG hets too big.

I'm sitting here smoking a Tatuaje Especiales, a 7.5" x 38 ring panatela.

Thin gauge cigars are just fine with me.

I enjoy a larger ring cigar very much . The larger ring allows the tobaccoes to blend in their own special way to deliver a unique flavor. Not that the flavor is any better or worse than smaller RG cigars, its just a different flavor scheme that appeals to me. If I'm in the mood for a 2 hour smoke, I'll pull a 6.5 x 54-58 out of the humi. If I know I'll only have 45 minutes to an hour, I'll pull a robusto out. I think the smallest RG in my humi is 50. I do have some MC Afrique Safari small cigars in the humi for when I'm driving 20 minutes to work. They are 4.62 x 34 cameroon. Tasty little guy.

I've been finding myself leaning towards smaller RG due to lack of time.

I tend to smoke slowly, so I lean toward the Corona, Lonsdales and Lanceros lately. I've actually found a few brands that the Robustos and Toros don't impress me much, but the Lanceros have me looking for box sales....

The #1 selling cigar in Havana is the Monte#2 and its Brother the#4.

Alot of people smoke the 50-52 ring gauge cigars. The Torps are actually my favorite of the bunch.

Calling it a fad because the companies are making them more again ? I think its just history repeating itself.

I don't think the fat cigars are very comfortable to hold in my mouth. And the idea reminds me of something I have no interest in.

I smoke probably 75% coronas and PCs. I just can't sit around outside for two hours doing nothing but puffing on a fat cigar. I don't have the attention span to spend that long with a smoke. Most of my recent purchases have been little, like Tat Angeles and RASCC
