i know alot of people LOVE pumps like the mossberg 500 but for me its the Remington 1100. its low recoil is great cause its extremely easy to get back on target for me.

Mossberg 500 is my go to shotgun. I have shot deer, waterfowl, quail, pheasent, and others for numerous years and it still shoots perfectly.

I have both the Remington 1100 and the 870 pump. I tend to grab the 870 more, I just like the way it shoots more than the 1100.

I used to shoot my Winchester 1200 back when you could use lead shot for waterfowl. After steel shot came around I upgraded to a Mossberg 500. I still have them both but haven't used them in years. I always thought Benelli's were beautiful but out of my price range.

I have a Benelli super black eagle, and an 870 Syn, if i had to trust my life to a shotgun it would be the 870 hands down. I love my Benelli, but my 870 just works no matter what.

Here is me in the shooting stand at the 2004 US Open Sporting Clays Championships at American Shooting Center in Houston. I am shooting my favorite gun....Kreighoff K-80 Super Schroll. I think I had it about a year at that time. Still shooting and competing with it. I probably have about 70,000 rounds through it now.

Second most favorite would be the Beretta 391 semi-auto. I hunt with a Beretta Extrema which is close to the 391 except it will handle 3 1/2 inch shells for geese.

Just a -little- bit off topic but if any of you are looking to get a Benelli, do yourself a favor and at least take a look at the Beretta 391 series guns. Slightly less than a Benelli and a much better quality gun IMHO, with less kick.

If anyone is interested in particulars, PM me. Be happy to answer questions. Pretty much all I do now is work at a range, teach, and compete. Well, and smoke cigars!
