Favorite Whiskey Drink

I like whiskey sours and Southern Comfort & Ginger Ale.

Anybody have a favorite whiskey drink? I've heard of a Rusty Nail but never tried it.

For Jack or equal type Bourbon or Whiskey on the rocks, however if it is a very good on e neat is the way to go.

Run, Forrest, run. Avoid this. Scotch & Drambuie. Never been so sick in my life as wehen I first made the mistake of having a couple of these.

I do enjoy a good Manhattan (must be rye else it's not a Manhattan) or a Old Fashion.

If y'all are ever in the city, try Pegu Lounge on Houston or BLTSteak on 57th. They make a good Manhattan.

If drinking Scotch Whisky, I prefer a splash of water and two ice cubes.

Any other and it's usually a shot or drowned in coke.

If it is a sour mash whiskey, I prefer to let someone else drink it for me.

I am a giving person.......

I gotta go with Jack Daniels (Green Label, or Single Barrel), or Knob Creek, both straight up....maybe chilled for about 30 minutes in the fridg....but thats it..I think the ice just takes away from the flavor...

It took me a while taking it neat, but I have some friends who only drink it neat so I just kept trying it. In the summer I will put the glass in the fridge or freezer for a while. Plus I have a Woodford Resvrve outside keeping it cold for me. If it is Johnny Blue always neat.
