  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

F'in winter, want to golf.

So for those of you stuck in the same predicament lets talk golf.

State your handicap, clubs, strategy or if you need swing tips or goals what ever. I'm at work currently bored out of my mind.

So I'll start, I ended the season last year with a 7.1 handicap, my goals this year are to dip my handicap to 5ish, my putting sucks and that is my weakness.

Right now I'm swinging Mizuno MP-57's 3-PW, MP600 10.5 driver, Mizuno 3 wood (cant remember the model number) Taylor made RAC 52 & 60* wedges with a 56* Cleveland, Odyssey 2 ball putter. ProV1x, or topflite gamers (if i'm drinking) Buying new wedges this year, the TM wedges just don't have enough bite, so I'm going Vokey or (more than likeley MP-T Minzunos, because I'm a mizuno whore)

Well it's 75 and sunny here, so golf would be nice but I am working to damn much anf then I got 2 youngs ones that want to seeme in the evenings. I rock some older clevelands and a clevland Hi-bore XLS driver. For me it is more of an excuse to get out and smoke some cigars and drink in public.

HI-bore's are nice, I got my Dad one last year got it for a steal from some guy i was playing with. He almost broke it over his knee, i said "Stop! ill give you $50 for that" and he gave it to me for free lol, i bought him a much needed couple of rounds of beer.

Welcome aboard. Finished the year somewhere around a 4.6. Play Taylormade TP Custom irons, Cleveland wedges (except the titleist 54), Titleist Drive, Taylor Made TP 3 wood, Titleist 19 degree and still going through putters. Currently the Odysey Black Mallet. Probably changing to the R9-460 this year and going back to the Cameron blade. We'll see.

Can't wait for the season. Headed to BethPaige this May.

Hope this year is better than the last.

Cold here too bro in VA.

Somewhere around a 10-11 handicap, quit keeping it last year, so I am not exactly sure what it currently is.

Clubs: Nike Str8-Fit Driver, Nickent 4DX 3 Wood, TaylorMade R9 TP Irons, Nickent Arc Wedges, old school Diawa Putter. Golf ball is currently being switched, I used to use the Nike One Platinum but realized I didn't need that much spin or that high dollar a golf ball.

Need to work the draw out of my game and I think I could be in single digits pretty easily. Those occasional snap hooks and missing greens long left are killing me.

I play with a set of Taylor Made ICW irons, Ping G5 driver and use an Odyssey 2 ball putter. I don't play enough or keep track enough to know my handicap but it would be up there. I would like to play more and improve but I've got 3 kids 6 and under so my free time is limited. Going to try and bring the boys out to the pitch and putt a little more this summer. They both have clubs and love to play with their Dad. Good practice for the short game as well.

My handicap is 1.6, my goal to make the match play of the Missouri Am. I play a Cobra Driver & 3 wood, Titleist hybrid, Titleist AP2's 3-W, Volkey 52 & 58 Sandwegdes and a Odysey three ball putter. Titleist ProV or Prov*, they are the #1 ball for a reason.

sp33d I'm going to give you my #1 tip for putting

Finished with an 8.7 last year, on an easy course, and I should have been much better. This year, our golf league will be rotating between 5 courses, 2 of which are very difficult, so I doubt the HC will improve, but I'd be happy with it staying the same on THESE courses.

Anyhow, with the 4 feet of snow that fell over the area here, I doubt that I will see a tee box anytime soon.

Finished the year at 11.8. Playing a Taylor Made Burner driver, Cleveland Hi Bore hybrids, Taylor Made R7 irons, Cleveland 56 and 60 wedges and an Odyssey 2-ball putter. Titleist Pro-V1 balls. Hope to work on the short game the next 2 months indoors before the season starts.

lol that is about the only problem i don't have. mine is reading greens, and aiming. The thing that saves me is my scrambling and my short game. If i didnt have those my handicap would be well over 10.

I haven't played much in a few years. Just too much going on and not much time to play. When I was playing, I was around a 7. Swinging Ping ISI 2-LW, Ping Zing 2i putter, Taylor Made R9 Super Quad driver and three wood. My son will be 2 in May, so hopefully he'll start joining the old man on the range in a couple of years.

My Pro filmed me putting without my knowlwdge and I was surprised how much my head moved, lookin for the hole. Have you ever tried putting with a cigar hanging out of your mouth? Try it if the cigar moves you know your head is moving. This helped me drop from a 3-4 handicap to 0-2 in a few short months.

PS: it works the same on short chips around the green

I have tried that, all though i drooled all over my cigar. I'm not 100% steady over the ball but im pretty still. it basically boils down to my lack of practice, and generally always sucking at putting this year Ill be working on A LOT,

I set up a camera last fall for a pro to take a look at figured I'd share a clip of it here. Pro told me I was getting a little flat at the top, which was promoting the draw.

I play R9 Driver, 3w, 5w and TM Rescue, Callaway X-20 Tour Irons 5-PW, Callaway X-Tour 52 and 60 wedges, Titleist Vokey 56 wedge, Ping Karsten putter. I suck at golf, but play as much as possible, probably 120+ rounds a year. This year maybe less due to physical issues. Have only played 3 times this year so far.
