  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Finally got a box of Camacho 10th Anni

I got an email from cigarplace.biz and promptly ordered me a box of the 11/18. I waited too long last time they had them in stock and they sold out quick. There are very few retailers with these for sale and especially not at cigarplace's price. I will let everyone know how they are once I get to smoke one. I can't wait.

mpieniaz, I don't even know where to get them around here. The only stuff I've seen with my eyes I know is counterfeit. I would be HIGHLY suspicious buying from anywhere around here. You can get cigarettes everywhere, but cigars from what I can tell, are not a thing for turks. Plus while I think cubans are good I don't think they're god's gift to the premium cigar market. If I'm confident in their authenticity and it's convenient I'll pick some up but I'm not going to go out of my way. Then when it comes to getting them from online retailers I still fall under the USPS. So if I were to order cigars they would go through customs in NY, then get forwarded to me here, as far as I can tell anyway. To me while they have a flavor of their own, due to legality issues, and price I pretty much leave them be. NCs are just as good, way easy to get, and I don't have to worry about customs fining my ass.

I'm located in right next to Adana.

Okay so here's a preliminary report on these cigars.

They smell GREAT. As soon as I opened the box I was in love. Then I picked up the first cigar with the small extraction ribbon on it and inspected the wrapper. It had two cracked spots, and I quickly filed for divorce! It looked like a QC issue. Then the one next to it had a crack on the edge of the wrapper making it peel up a bit. Since I was at work I simply put them back in the box and closed it up. Well now that I'm home I have taken all of them out and closely inspected all of them. All in all I found nine screwed up cigars out of 21. Three or four of them have cracking at the head or foot or both. Then some of them just have shitty shitty wrappers. They have real small tears like someone stabbed through the cigars sideways with a draw poker.

I have emailed Camacho about how unhappy I am with the 10th box of cigars I've purchased of theirs since Sep07. I also emailed the retailer http://www.cigarplace.biz/index.cfm to see if they will do anything. It is not their fault as far as I know it was adequately packed. Also all of the boxes of their cigars I get come in it's own cardboard box that's taped. So it's not like the retailer knowingly sent me dicked up smokes. I really hope one of the two makes this right because at $200 a box and only ending up with 12 good cigars I'm a bit pissed. Some of the damaged ones might very well end up smokeable but for fucksake! It's their most recently promoted high end flagship type line I expected WAAAAAY more.

Damn quick update. Cigarplace is crediting me for the price per stick of the damaged cigars. Now I'm curious to see if Camacho cares.
