  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Finally tried an Opus X

Me and my girlfriend won a couples pool tournament and got the opportunity to go to vegas and compete nationally. While I was down in sin city I went to Casa Fuente and had an Opus X. I really enjoyed the cigar, but not the price-One cigar+two mojitos= $50. If I go back to vegas I would do it again in a heartbeat. The atmosphere and the scenery was great- anyone that has been there knows what I mean by the scenery. And if you havent been there---- Its the waitresses!

Sounds like a great time! How did you do on a national level?
I've been to Vegas once and never made it into Casa Fuente....... This was before I even knew much about cigars in my defense

Glad you had a good time  I like the atmosphere at Casa Fuente. Drinks are expensive but you get what you pay for :transform

We lost out rather quickly tatjunkie. Not a big deal I knew we wouldn't make it too far, and who needs obligations and places to be at certain times when your in Vegas. At $12 per mojito I don't think I got what I paid for, if you aren't counting atmosphere and scenery. My inner hillbilly says I could have had 24 Miller lites, three Padron thousand series, piece of jerky, and stagered out-not walked for that $50 price-tag.

LOL, at the Mariott I work at, mojitos are $11 (although when *I* make them, they are worth atleast $16 :chat:) and as far as the jerky, you don't wanna know what THAT costs here, I think one of the bigger Jacks Links packages (the one with the 2 strips) is almost $8.

Wouldn't you like to know?
Could have been worse. In Canada you might have gotten a Padron 2000 and a dozen beers and smoked and drank in your basement for $50. I think the ability to smoke in public and not have to hide makes it well worth it. But us Canadian are pretty repressed.

and at the restaurant 'Havana Blue', an Opus is $50 just by itself. But Aaron is right, its worse in canada.

It could have been worse for sure, but like I said- I would do it again in a heartbeat. I need to win the lottery so I can rent a little floor space from them to put in a lazy-boy. The only reason I would leave is so moss wouldnt grow on me.
