  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I'm smoking this right now with a Basil Hayden Bourbon accompaniment.

It's pleasant to me, but I will relay that my father in law doesn't appreciate the room note, and we're sitting on his patio, him with a fan blowing the smoke away from him, even.

I'm not very experienced with Lat blends, but my first impression was simply, "yup, that's latakia!"

It's actually reminding me a lot of the Odyssey that I had while it was PTotM, at least to the nose.

Aaaand I got rained out. I had to empty the bowl.

My latest opinion is this was worth the money for you to blend yourself.

Well I went to start stripping ribs for the next evolution of this blend but some of my leaf came out of case. So I added a little water to each bag and sealed them up. I figure I should be able to get this leaf processed and packed in for next week.

Well I sort of changed this blend up a bit opted for more simplicity.

Total 305gr

Red Virginina: 110
Izmir: 115
Latakia: 45
Dark Air: 35

No cavendish treatment of anything. I will make this into a flake though. So I will load up the press tomorrow after the leaves come into a uniform case in the holding tupperware. I figured I'd go for a more oriental presence in this blend, up the body with the dark air, and decrease the lat hit a little bit.

Decided to check this while I had a buddy brewing with me. Smooth is the name of the game compared to the non-plug blend. I upped the dark air and cut a little latakia out too.
