Very nice work.

Now here's the strange thing. My daughter took an art class last year and also drew a self portrait. Your photographs on your profile page do not resemble her at all, but your drawing looks a lot like her drawing of herself! It must be something about the medium - charcoal or whatever it is you used.

I believe ya. Has to do a lot with personality, the intensity that one can give with the shadows, and strokes, etc.

I love doing my shadows very dark and intense, i want them to be noticed, that they are there. I was always told that all shadows that i would see i must draw them because they are the one's that bring out the drawing.

I once did a self portrait in HS art class. I was given study detention detention for a week. It was a nude self portrait and artistic freedom is an understatement.
